On November 24, 2023, a critical initiative unfolded as the Department of Refugee Service (DRS) demonstrated unwavering support for displaced communities by donating sanitary towels. This generous contribution, aimed at addressing the essential hygiene needs of refugees, took a significant step towards enhancing the well-being of those facing displacement.

In collaboration with Frena Community Based Organization, DRS facilitated the distribution of the donated sanitary towels at Frena Community Ground in Ongata Rongai. This collaborative effort focused on ensuring that a fundamental necessity, often taken for granted, reached individuals in vulnerable situations. The event not only provided practical support but also conveyed a message of empathy and solidarity with those navigating challenging circumstances.

The DRS’s commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of refugees was evident in the success of the distribution event. The donated sanitary towels, now in the hands of those who need them most, serve as a tangible representation of the positive outcomes achievable through strategic partnerships between governmental agencies and community organizations.

Frena Community Organization extends heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Refugee Service for their generous donation and collaborative spirit. This event highlights the potential for meaningful change when organizations unite to address the pressing needs of displaced populations.

As Frena continues its mission to make a difference in the lives of those affected by displacement, we look forward to future collaborations with the Department of Refugee Service and remain committed to fostering positive change within our communities.
